ADF4355 total supply current

Hi all,

 

In the datasheet at ADF4355,

"Specifications Power Supplies" and "Table 6. Total IDD (RFOUTA± Refers to RFOUTA+/RFOUTA−)" ,

I want to clarify the relevance of "Specifications Power Supplies" and "Table 6. Total IDD (RFOUTA± Refers to RFOUTA+/RFOUTA−)"

, and the total power supply currents for selecting the power supply IC.

 

For example, If I set the PLL to +5dBm, Divide By 1, both RFOUTA/B enable,

Which is it correct, following the total currents calculation ?

Is it not include the Output Dividers current (6 to 36 mA) ?

 

(1)Table 6. Total IDD;

5 V Supply (IVCO and IP) + 3.3 V Supply (AIDD, DIDD, IRFA) + 3.3 V Supply (IRFB)

= 78 mA +  132.8 mA + 55 mA(typ) = 210.8 mA + 55 mA(typ) = 265.8m A...(a)

 

(2)Specifications Power Supplies;(each use typ value.)

Charge Pump Supply Power Current (IP) + Digital Power Supply Current + Analog Power Supply Curent (DIDD, AIDD)

+ Supply Current (IVCO) + RFOUTA± Supply Current (IRFOUTx±)

+ RFOUTB± Supply Current (IRFOUTx±)

= (IP) 8 (typ )mA + (DIDD, AIDD) 62 (typ) mA + (IVCO) 70 (typ) mA + (IRFOUTx±) 55 (typ) mA*2 = 250 mA...(b)

 

(3)Which is the total currents ?

(a) =~ (b) ; Is this the total currents ?

or

(a) + Output Dividers current (IOD) =~ (b) + Output Dividers current (IOD)  ; Is this the total currents ?
