What device is best suited as a DC - 500Mhz VGA?

Hi

I am looking to take a signal from a photo diode TIA and amplify this with a VGA. I need it to operate from DC to 500MHz and across a gain range of 6dB - 50dB (Ideally but could be a little lower). This is forming part a control loop.

I have looked at devices like AD8367 but these are all using AC blocking caps.

Can I use the AD8367 demo circuit with the output AC cap removed?

Regards

Luke
