Does ADV7604 support 1920x1200@60Hz and 24bit color in DVI/HDMI digital mode?
Thanks in advance
I'm not sure what you mean by "HDMI free-run scripts."
I am using the script marked "3-14 - 1280 x 720p60, RGB 444 in, YPrPb 422 out, Pixel Repetition 1, VIC 4"
in the file called "ADV7604IO_ADV7604CP_ADV7604AFE_ADV7604HDMI_ADV7341B-VER.1.4c_RevA.txt".
I noticed that if my HDMI generator was outputting RGB, the color bar pattern on the display was incorrect. So I changed the generator to output YCbCr 4:2:2 instead and things seem to look okay for 720p60, 1080i60, 1080p60, and CVR1960D.
Sorry, the question should be Does the ADV7604 support 1920x1200@60Hz from the HDMI input port. It's the WUXGA in reduced blanking mode.
Answer is yes.. answered in your other thread here: http://ez.analog.com/message/27634#27634
I experimented with our evaluation platform for ADV7604 / ADV7511 with CVR1960D (1920 x 1200 @59.95Hz) color bar pattern. I used HDMI input and HDMI output and everything seems to be okay.
CVR1960D mode did seem to be slightly more dark than 1080p60 mode but I saw the same behavior when the generator was connected directly to the display. I don't think it had anything to do with ADV7604 or ADV7511. I think the Quantum Data generator uses slightly different settings for VESA modes than CEA modes.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for reply!
I was not lucky. I have seens much darker video when passing the ADV7604. It's fine (normal color) if connect to monitor directly
Which scripts you are using for your testing? Is it HDMI free run scripts?
Thank you for your experiment! I have tested with scripts 3-25 1920x1080p etc, and got the same or similar results.
So it's still not working for you? Do you have an ADV7604 evaluation board?
Thanks for reply!
I wonder if Ray indicate to configure ADV7604 to graphic prime mode=0x2, which will use the Analog front end, instead of HDMI front end?
