Is it free to upgrade from VisualDSP++ 5.0.10 to 5.1.2? We have a valid 5.0.10 license.
If not, how much?
Is there anyone responsible for this?
Apologies for the delayed response.
We understand that you have already contacted our private support. We have copied the response here as well for other benefit:
Upgrading is a simple process and can be done at free of cost.
You can download the latest version of VisualDSP++ (5.1.2) in the below link:
When installing 5.1.2 you have the option to copy over the license from your existing version. To do this click on 'Advanced' when the installer asks for the installation path and check the box to enable copying over a license.
For more details, please refer the below link which is applicable for Visual DSP++ 5.1.2:
apologies for jumping on someone else's thread but I have also been trying to update from 5.0.x.
The link above does not work, results in "Web page cannot be found"
I'm looking to upgrade because Microsoft have "kindly" upgraded my to Windows 10 and now my VisualDSP++ won't run, presenting an error at start up saying "Runtime Error - This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way". Do you know if the latest version fixes this problem?
I can answer my own question!!
I found another link to V5.1.2 and that worked.
Having upgraded I can confirm it does fix the odd error I was seeing with VisualDSP++ starting up.
