AD9739A-FMC-EBZ - Connection to ZC702 via FMC

Hello everyone,

we are using the Xilinx Evaluation Board ZC702 with an AD9739A-FMC-EBZ with Vivado Software. There are no configuration files for both hardware components in this combination. Our goal is to build a communication between the board and the ADC, and to start up with a generated output signal. In our datasheet research we found out, that we have to use the SPI configuration first time before sending the data via FMC, right?

Do we have to program the ADC SPI register like in your blog (https://wiki.analog.com/resources/fpga/xilinx/fmc/ad9739a) with the help of SDK tool? Or is there any other possibility to set the register?

Regarding to the communication via FMC: Is it possible to send the Data and Clock signal via FMC and the ADC Output automatically generates a signal? Or do we have to control this with any interrupts, settings or something?

Kind regards

marrot
