The reset pin of adv7280 needs a pull resistor? And why ?
It's on the first page of the schematic, a 4.7K resistor pull-up for the reset pin R37.
This is typical for reset pins in general. A pull resistor keeps it from floating and possibly causing stability issues with parts.
Dave, i can't find a pull resistor in the sch of evaluation board. why?
Can a 2K resistor replace the 4.7K resistor ? What's the difference ?
Lower resistor value means a stronger pullup, It'll affect the waveform on power-up and could make it harder to pull it down for reset depending on what is driving the signal.
It really depends on your system. You have to have a resistor there anyway.. you can just try it and see. Changing the resistor is not a big deal once the pads are there on the PCB.
