Eval Board ADV7619/ADV7511 serial port not responding

Hello,

I have the Eval board ADV7619/ADV7511 and I am trying to get it up and running. I have installed AVES3 software and I am able to connect over the USB port and monitor/modify various register settings. This part seems to work fine.

However when I try to use serial port (RS-232) to control the repeater etc I am unable to do so.  I can see the output form the board initially booting and I can press a key during u-boot boot to interrupt the auto boot but the board is not responding to my commands after that point.  Seeing the output and being able to interrupt u-boot would suggest that my serial port settings are correct.  I am using 115200 8N1, flow-control: none.

Here is the capture interrupting the u-boot boot loader

In both cases typing help seem to have no effect.  The prompt never comes back suggesting that the device is not receiving my commands or not responding to them for some reason.

Am I missing anything? Is there any other way to control the repeater?

Thanks

Bogdan
