Hittite HMC6000LP711C Transmitter

Hi There,

We observe that both of HMC6000LP711C  transmitter and HMC6001LP711C receiver come up with random initial phase. It is about mod(n*(pi/2), 2*pi) for each time of powering on and off the chips and n is a random integer.

1. What is the cause of the random phase info?
2. How to determine the exact n?  Does n follow binomial distribution ? When we use the chip to collect radiation and recover phase info, the phase info is after mod 2*pi. Any suggestion on determining the random initial phase please?

Thank you!
Best Regards,
