I am using VDSP++ 5.0 with update 9.0 for ADSP BF 527 EZ KIT.
How to choose Boot Load from the Settings menu?
I am not able to get this in IDE in debug mode also.
I am not sure that "Boot Load" is an option available under "Settings." If you want to load a program from memory, you would make the necessary changes under Project-> Project Options -> Load - > Options. Then Select the appropriate Boot Mode and format for the program you want to load.
If you have a program that you want to load from non-volatile memory, like Flash, you could save the program to a .ldr, instead of .dxe. The ldr can then be loaded with the appropriate flash programmer driver.
the "Settings: Boot Load" menu is only available if you have connected to your EZ-KIT Lite via the on-board USB Debug Agent. If you use a JTAG Emulator, this option will not be available.
I tried with USB debug agent after connecting the required cable nad disabling JTAG.But following error is obtained while creating session.
where can i get the driver for this?
the screenshot suggests you are trying to use a USB-ICE, rather than a USB Debug Agent session. To use the EZ-KIT Lite via Debug Agent session, you will need to be using a Full ("ADI-") or Evaluation ("KIT-") license serial number - i.e. Not a Test Drive ("TST-") as these only support Emulator and Simulator Sessions.
You can then create the session via 'Session'->'New Session'. Select "Blackfin", and "ADSP-BF527", then click next. You should have the option for Simulator, Emulator or EZ-KIT Lite. Choose EZ-KIT Lite, click next, then choose the EZ-KIT Lite via Debug Agent connection.
