Is there a way to connect the newer DAC Evaluation boards to the Xilinx development platforms?
We have an FMC adapter, so if you are using a Virtex-6 (ML605) or Spartan-6 (SP605) eval board, or any other eval board with FMC connectors on it, you can use this board to interface to our DAC evaluation boards: http://www.analog.com/ad-dac-fmc
I bought the fast dac eval board (AD9739A-EBZ) and the Xilinx adaptor board (DAC-FMC ADP) to connect to a Xilinx eval board SP605. The DPG2 was priced out of my range. Is there a tutoral to get me started in producing wave forms with the two eval boards?
There is a quick Start guide that has some information on how to set up the FMC card and the pin connections.
Go to ur web site listed below and down load the Quick Start Guide for the FMC adaptor and see if this answers your questions.
The documentation for the AD9739A and Xilinx platform is available on our wiki at: http://wiki.analog.com/resources/fpga/xilinx/interposer/ad9739a
Please let me know
Whether or not, can I use AD9739A-FMC-EBZ board with Xilinx SP605 eval board?
Please check the Wiki site mfowler gave at:
and see that the supported boards are ML605, KC705, and VC707. As SP605 is not listed, you will have to check to see that it has enough speed and/or resources to handle the high data rates required by the AD9739A.
Thanks Danf. Will check.
