ADV212  16 bit mode operation

Hi DaveD, Here is a Urgent Problem in JPEG Encoding by ADV212

 

Sample Image is consiste of 120x120 pixel and each pixel is 2Byte Grayscale

we want to encode in 2*16bit Mode

so, We set PMODE1 Register, HDATA : 0x18(32bit 2x16-bit Packet Single component)


but the problem is occured..


For example 2-pixel input Data is 0xAABB CCDD(it is amount of 2 pixel)

then, Encoded jp2 output data is 0xAA00CC00 (Decoded in MATLAB, j2c format has same problem)


it seems like ADV212 chopping Lower Byte(LSB) each pixel


additionally, I try to encoding a Sample Data in 4*8bit Mode, It Succesfully operated.


I quess It is not communication interface problem.

let us know somewhat like Register parameter or renewal firmware
