the AD9573 is a Clock Generator IC optimized for PCI-e applications.
This is true for GEN1 (2.5GTs). Is this IC also suitable for GEN2 (5GTs / 6.25GTs) and GEN3 (8GTs)?
I think, it is, because Bus frequency is still 100MHz?
The most stringent reference clock specification is PCIe GEN3 (8GTs), which shares the same frequency requirements as the previous generations, but requires RMS ref clock jitter to not exceed 1 ps RMS for both data clock and common ref clk Rx architectures. The AD9573 is speced at 0.540 ps RMS typcial on a 12kHz-20MHz integration bandwidth, leaving plenty of margin to be compliant with the standard spec.
