Several years ago we took a look on the AD5933. For our purpose the output rate was too slow. We heard that AD is working on a faster device ( AD 5935 ) with a SPI interface. Is there a chance for a faster device ?
The latest impedance converter is the M350. It is more accurate than the AD5933 but the maximum excitation frequency goes up to 50kHz.
900 sps output rate of the M350 is not really fast...
The M350 can go up to 80kHz,
ADC- 160 kSPS, 16-bit, precision analog-to-digital converter (ADC)
DAC- Clocking Frequency 320 kHz
The 900sps is the downsampling frequency. This outputs divided by 178 the ADC
is it possible to get the measured impedance in a 80 kHz rate ???
As i understood the datasheet the 900 sps is the rate for the calculated impedance values, because the device needs a certain amount of samples to calculate the impedance or ?
Georg - It is an ADI policy to not discuss any unreleased products in public forums. Any questions such as this should be worked through a local sales representative, or by asking the source from whom you heard the rumor.
ok, thats a very tricky thing to get in contact with an ADI person. As the local AFEs were antiquated and questions to the "support" will return the answer: we dont know!
