VBScript Standalone Flash Programmer without VisualDSP++ installation

Hi,

I built a VBScript Standalone Flash Programmer (SAFP), reprograming a BF512 by an emulator types ICE-1000 and ICE-100B.

The SAFP works well (independently) on PCs which VisualDSP++ is installed on them.

However, on PCs with no VisualDSP++, running the scripts throw an error: "could not connect to the target". (see attached)

For these PCs, the driver for the emulator device (ICE-100B/1000) was taken from "...Analog Devices\VisualDSP 5.1.2\Setup\Emu_Drivers" directory. (device manger-->update driver software--> browse my computer--> select directory)

The device was recognized in "device manager" under ADI development tools as "ICE-100B/1000 JTAG emulator".

To verify the problem, I installed visualDSP++ on such PC and the SAFP worked properly.

Thus, It seems that something belongs to VisualDSP installation is needed beside the emulator driver.

Thanks for your help,

Regards,

Dingo
