I'm using this MEMS sensor on a PCB, and want to establish the roll of the x-axis only, regardless of the pitch.
I am using the standard 3-axis equations to establish the roll. I first take a few averaged readings to determine the static position.
After movement starts I am only interested in the x-axis roll. When observing the values, the y-axis (pitch) affects the x-axis (roll) numbers, even the slightest amount.
My objective is to set a threshold for roll only, and don't want pitch to impact the roll values.
How can this be done?
