Is there any way to trigger an action on power up only? I want to making an action take place only at power up and then never again until the next power up.
Thanks for any help,
Are you using self-boot? If so, you can use the manual EEPROM generation method and put your own custom write commands at the end of the sequence.
Yes I am using self boot. Just need to be able to have the program know when power up happens, do somthing then and never again.
Any way to squecne different piecs of code? Like I want to have an initiallization step then run the main code until powerdown.
Within SigmaStudio this would be tricky. The core is really meant for audio flow-based processing, not sequenced steps.
You could possibly put something together using cells from the logic library (one shot, zero cross detect, toggle, etc...) along with index selectable multiplexers to get some kind of sequenced processing together, but the core wasn't really designed to do that so it's not intuitive or easy.
I thing the EEPROM write sequence is probably your best bet.
For example, if you wanted a chime generator to activate on power up and never again, you could just include the chime activate command as the very last step in the selfboot sequence.
Hey Brett, any way you could give me a couple of examples of what a custom write command would look like in the Sequence window.
I understand to right click and add write command, but I don' t understand how I find out what to write in the boxes of that new write command based on what I want to do.
This could be VERY helpful to me so any help you have would be much appreciated.
It's actually easier to do the following:
Thank a lot Brett. That makes total sense. I'll give it a go!
