is it possible to get a higer isolation voltage by using iCouplers in serial?
e.g. ADuM6401 and ADuM2401? to get an iso voltage of 8kV?
Thomas: It is possible to use isolators in series, but they have a very small capacitance across the barrier (2pF) which may not balance the voltages across the 2 isolators, especially with any board parasitics and potential contamination. It would be best to put a high value resistor, like 100M from GND1 to GND2 and another 100M from GND2 to GND3 to balance the voltage across the isolators (you may be able to get safety resistors for this). You will need an isolated voltage for each isolator, which you can get by using 2 ADuM6401s for the 2 isolators in series.
