Does ADI have a form, fit, and function replacement for the LM837 in a SO-14 package? Our applications are in low-noise audio, with + and - 12 -- 15 V rails.
Upon checking on different datasheets, I think that ADA4610-4 would be a good replacement for LM837. With the same package, performance and function. It also have a lower THD+N value of 0.00025% compared to LM837 which has 0.0015. It also meets your requirements of having +/- 12 to 15V rails.
It looks good, thanks!
Our enthusiasm for this part diminished considerably once we found it costs about $9. each (qty 100), We were getting the LM837 for about $1. each (25 cents per amp!). As my engineer friend wrote back to me,
I can’t go for that (no can do).
Costs too much. I guess life in Boston is expensive.
BMW vs. VW. The AD837 and NE5534 are very cheap non-precision op amps widely used in audio.
Once you get past those, there aren't many choices.
Sorry to hear that. You can also look at ADTL084, with respect to LM837, they almost have the same specs. with THD+N with the value of 0.001% which is a little lower than LM837 THD with a value of 0.0015. And it also works within the range of your requirement on rail-to-rail voltage of +/-12 to 15V. As for the price, ADTL084 cost $0.92 per 1000 pcs.
