Recently, I bought EVAL AD5933EBZ board.

What is the difference between the EVAL AD5933EBZ and EVAL AD 5933/34 EBZ?

AD5933 has 4 output voltage range. How can I select one of them?

Hi Niki,

The evaluation board of the AD5933 and AD5934 is the same. The difference would be the part that is mounted on the board. The ADC of the AD5933 and AD5934 runs at 1MSPS and 250kSPS respectively.

You can select the output voltage range by writing to D10 and D9 of register 0x80. You can refer to this table for the settings.

Or if you are using the evaluation board software, you can select the output voltage range from this portion.

From the results you obtained, impedance is the impedance of the unknown you are measuring. The real and imaginary data that you obtained is the digital representation of the real and imaginary components of the impedance and not resistance and reactance. The other data that you need can be computed using the impedance and phase that you obtained.

Impedance: Z

Admittance: Y = 1/Z

Reactance: X = Zsin(phase)

Resistance: R = Zcos(phase)

Conductance: G = R/(R^2+X^2)

Susceptance: B = -X/(R^2+X^2)
