Hi,

I`ve got a problem with reactive power meter with ADE 7754.

I now how to read active power. But I how to do it with reactive.

What should I do with table

If I understand right reactive energy could be read as follows:

1 read PF=LAENERGY/LVAENERGY

What should I do if my PF is 0,2?

So true apparent energy is LVAENERGY/3.657? is it correct?

What next?

Hi Pawel,

To get reactive energy, what you have to do is use the LAENERGY register for the active energy and the LVAENERGY for the apparent energy. Then find the sign of the reactive energy by modifying Bit 5 of the WAVMODE register. With these 3 pieces of information, solve the equation of:

sign(Reactive Power)*SQRT(ApparentEnergy^2 - ActiveEnergy^2)

Just set the required number of line cycles to accumulate energy over.

The table you mention is used to compare the active, reactive and apparent energy readings from the part. The stated scaling factor has to be used in order to compare them directly to each other.
