What is your min input current of ADG3308?
I just found it is 36mA on your data sheet in Japanese edition.
But this is too much current for this device, I think.
So please let me know it.
36mA is correct but it is calculated using worst case scenario.
In reality, in the input driving requirements are much less owing to the presence of the one-shots and if the switching speed requirements are low.
Once the Threshold value is achieved, the one shot will kick in and help pull the voltage up or down as required, reducing the required current driving capability.
Hi Stephen_Nugent: revE of the ADG3308 datasheet does not seem to specify the 36mA input drive current requirement discussed in this thread. Instead, the input drive specification has changed to "To ensure correct operation of the ADG3308/ADG3308-1, the circuit that drives the input of the device should be able to ensure rise/fall times of less than 3 ns when driving a load consisting of a 6 kΩ resistor in parallel with the input capacitance of the ADG3308/ADG3308-1 channel."
Has the datasheet been updated? The ADG3300 datasheet still has the 36mA requirement. Could you please clarify?
For a typical SPI i/f (25Mbps) with an MCU, what specification should I be checking on the MCU to ensure that I can get the ADG3308 to level shift b/w 2.4V (VCCA, MCU) and 3.2V (VCCY, peripheral SPI slave) domains?
