I need to generate a sine (or square) wave with a frequency of 80 to 200 MHz.
Input signal is a pulse or square wave between 1 kHz and 250 MHZ.
Can you advice a part I can use ?
How about AD9915. Looking at page 21 of the datasheet, the VCO range is 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz while supporting a multiplication factor of 20x and 510x. Following this, it means that the input range for using PLL would be from 4.7 MHz to 125 MHz.
There are plenty of options that you can choose from our DDS portfolio that can give you a 200 MHz sine wave. I'd like to suggest AD9910 for this since it has a 1000 MSPS clock. Just add a low pass filter after the output stage. For the square wave signal, I advise to still use the DDS device but having a comparator at its output stage. There are a number of varieties of comparators that we have in our product page. Feel free to use use our parametric search tool for that.
AD9910 could be a good candidate. Unfortunately it seems that this product is not able to multiply the frequency for a REF_CLK bigger than 60 MHz.
