We have an ADIS16210 mounted in an instrument that moves in a circle as seen in the picture. The sensor is represented by the box to the right at the top. The distance d is 240 and r is 400 mm. The gravity axis is along r and the horisontal axis is, i.e. this is just like a weel on a car. The ADIS is not mounted perfectly aligned, a few degrees off is likely.
The z-axis of the ADIS should show the same angles as those of the circle. We measure the angle with two other inclinometers and see deviations by a few degrees.
The app note AN-1057 "Using Accelerometers" discusses deviations caused by misalignments that causes problems like this.
We have tried to use the calibration procedure described but without success.
Any ideas are welcome.
