Question for your AD9257 drive

Dear Sir/Madam,

I got the question from our customer as following.

As for the setting way of "Resolution/ sample rate override"  your AD9257,

after send it's setting of register, we put bit 1 on "transfer register"(make change 0 to 1), so "Resolution/ sample rate override" will be done, customer think. Is this correct?

But he found that the change of from 14bit to 12bit. This means that the 2 digits bit of the LVDS signal as 14bit output is fixed to 0.

So how should we drive the "transfer register"?

1st: Setting the register of "Resolution/ sample rate override"

2nd: Setting AD9257 to "power down mode"

3rd: Setting "transfer register"

Is the above way OK?

Otherwise should we set the "Resolution/ sample rate override" during "power down mode"?

I need your comment.

Thanks Kaos
