Hi Petar,

The ADuCM350 DFT engine outputs the results as a complex number. The magnitude and phase of the impedance at the excitation frequency can be calculated by using the following formulas:

Magnitude=SQRT(R^2+I^2)

Phase = atan(I/R)

R- Real component of the DFT Result.

I- Imaginary component of the DFT Result.

In 2-wires example we are using ratiometric calculations to measure the unknown impedance.Hence, you have use the following the procedure for getting actual magnitude and phase.

Magnitude Zknown =( Magnitude of Zunknown measured/Magnitude of RCAL measured)*RCAL value .

Phase = Zunknown Measured Phase- Zrcal Measured Phase.

I am attaching an excel sheet which can perform this function.
