Hi. Where can I download the SoundMax latest drive update? Because it's AudioEPS is not intended for Windows 10. Thank you.
A number of years ago we sold the PC audio part of our business to Conexant. We are still using the "SoundMax" phrase but for other products. So contact Conexant and they should be able to help you.
I had the same problem on a Dell Optiplex 755, running now Win10, 32 bit.
My solution consisted in removing the driver software and then reinstall it in compatibilty mode for Windows Vista.
The big problem is that uninstall with normal procedures within Windows does not work, because the files are not accessible even with administrator privileges.
So I used a Linux live-CD (Knoppix) to access and delete:
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\adihdaud.inf_x86_195efe3f112b2ea4 (delete the whole folder)
C:\Program Files\Analog Devices (delete the whole folder)
Then I restarted Windows, open the folder containing the SoundMax driver software and set (right click) under "Properties/compatibility" the compatibility mode for Windows Vista of all 3 executable files:
At this point I installed the driver software, the system asked for an uninstall, I clicked "No" and continued the installation. The system did not neet a reboot and worked fine immediately.
Hope it works also on your system. Good luck!
