What is the Maximum input data rate the AD9122 can handle and what is the maximum bandwidth the AD9122 can support?
The maximum data rate the AD9122 can support is 1.23GSPS bus speed which delivers 615MSPS data rate to each DAC. When operating at the this speed the DVDD18, CVDD18 = 1.9 V +/- 2%. The part must be configured in 1x mode which bypasses the interpolation filters or in 2x interpolation with HB2 selected. In 1x Mode the AD9122 supports 615Mhz complex bandwidth but it will be dificult to filter the images. In 2x interpolation mode the maximum bandwidth supported is 400MHz complex bandwidth. The HB1 has to be slected and the maximum data rate is 500MSPS to each DAC or 1GSPS bus speed. The HB1 coefficientss support 80% of the nyquist frequency that result in 400MHz max bandwidth. In 2x interpolation with HB2 selected the input data rate can go up to 615MSPS but the HB2 coefficients only support 50% nyquist bandwidth resulting in 307.5 MHz bandwidth. This mode might be used if the signal badwidth is only 307.5 MHz and needs to placed at a higher IF. Table 5 has the correct data rates but Table 23 has a error on Max HB1 bus speed and data rate speed which will be corrected in the new data sheet coming out in May.
