The following page provides prerequisites and a location for the Analog Devices AD9361 Filter Design Wizard (MATLAB App version) :

http://wiki.analog.com/resources/eval/user-guides/ad-fmcomms2-ebz/software/filters

The MATLAB App version of the Filter Wizard is listed as being located at :

http://wiki.analog.com/_media/resources/eval/user-guides/ad-fmcomms2-ebz/software/ad9361_filter_design_wizard.zip

This contents of this ZIP archive corresponds to V4.0 of the Filter Design Wizard (seen by ‘hovering’ over the Filter Design Wizard’s MATLAB app button after it is installed) :

‘AD9361 Filter Design Wizard.mlappinstall’

When the MATLAB app is installed into either MATLAB R2014b or MATLAB R2015a it will not install ‘properly’ unless the following ‘additional’ MATLAB toolboxes are installed - ‘Mapping Toolbox’ and ‘Phased Array System Toolbox’ (see attached screen captures).

If you go ahead an install the Filter Wizard app without these toolboxes, then error message appear as soon as the wizard app is used (see attached screen captures).

These two toolbox dependencies are not listed as prerequisites on the original page :

http://wiki.analog.com/resources/eval/user-guides/ad-fmcomms2-ebz/software/filters

The Filter Design Wizard’s dependencies are listed as only being the ‘DSP System Toolbox’ and the ‘Signal Processing Toolbox’.

The V3.1 version of the Filter Design Wizard (located below) does not have the ‘Mapping Toolbox’ and ‘Phased Array System Toolbox’ dependencies when installed into MATLAB R2014b or MATLAB R2015a.

Does the Analog Devices AD9361 Filter Design Wizard  (MATLAB App version) really require the purchasing of two extra Mathworks Toolboxes in order to work ?

The V3.1 version of the wizard seemed to work just fine with only the ‘DSP System Toolbox’ and the ‘Signal Processing Toolbox’ toolboxes.
