I need a bit more current through my indicator LED, but I can't find out how much current I can sink into a digital output. Can I do 8mA?
In post 7 of that discussion AudeR says "This is correct, the ADuC7023 GPIOs structure is the same as that on other devices of the ADuC702x family.", i.e. the structure of the ADuC7026 is the same as that for the ADuC7023.
From what you say it appears that the data sheet for the ADuC7026, like that for the ADuC7024 does not cover this information, even though the information for the ADuC7023 is applicable for these parts.
Figure 38 on page 52 of ADuC7023 Rev A data sheet shows the GPIO can sink 8mA with the drive level setting determining the output low voltage. Bear in mind there may be an overriding load current limit that a particular port or the entire device should not exceed.

It's helpful, but it doesn't provide a real answer. I specifically need to know about port 4. I'm now also confused because the ADuC7026 datasheet makes absolutely no mention of programmable drive strength.
