The GLOB_CMD=1 aligns the sensor. Is this alignment lost when turned off?
If so, can I save some data to restore the alignment later without having to move the sensor into the aligned position?
What data would be needed?
After doing a little research, I have determined that the User Alignment register values requires a manual flash update (GLOB_CMD = 1) to store into nonvolatile flash. I wasn't 100% sure of this, based on our documentation, so I did my own experiment to verify this. This process was documented at this location, if you are interested:

I hope that this helps!NevadaMark
Thank you for your post. The alignment values do have flash memory locations, so they are stored when you execute a manual flash update. My documentation does not tell me if this flash update happens automatically, but I think that it does. I will verify and post another response.
