General steps for AD7794 internal calibrations

I am trying to perform internal zero/span calibrations on the AD7794, but the offset and full scale registers are not updating.  I wanted to know if the general steps for these calibrations are listed anywhere.  The general steps I follow are below.

1. Write 0x10 to the communications register so the next operation will be a write to the configuration register.

2. Cycle the chip select line to the ADC.

3. Set the AIN channel for the ADC.

4. Cycle the chip select line to the ADC.

5. Write 0x08 to the communications register so the next operation will be a write to the mode register.

6. Cycle the chip select line to the ADC.

7. Write two-bytes to the ADC where the mode bits are requesting an internal zero-scale/full-scale calibration.

8. Wait for DOUT/RDY_ to go low(indicating the completion of a calibration).

9. Read from the offset or full-scale register.

Please let me know if I am missing any steps.

Thanks.

Alan
