EVAL-ADV7612-7511 - How can the board be set for 760P video input and output? What is the factory default configuration?
The EVAL-ADV7612-7511 comes programmed with software which allows the board to act as a repeater (taking the HDMI input to the ADV7612 and sending it to the HDMI output of the ADV7511.) We also provide PC-based software that allows the user to run scripts for various configurations and read/write registers in the ADV7612.
I'm not familiar with 760p. Do you mean 720p?
It sounds like all I need to do is pull it out of the box, power it up, plug in the source and sink HDMI ports and it should work? is this right? Since I don’t have HDCP, if either my sink or source has it won’t work, right?
Unfortunately, this does not work for me. I do not have the HDCP. I have tested the source and the monitor is able to play both encrypted and non-encrypted HDMI streams but I cannot get the EVAL-ADV7612-7511 board to produce video. Is there any help you can give me to get video to start working?
Are you communicating with the EVAL-ADV7612-7511 via RS232? Did you enter the "startrep" command?
Wow that was simple I opened a case and they still have not got back to me. What document did you get this from?
That seemed to work but now I am getting a hiccup every minute or so that’s fine for the test I have to perform right now.
When you ordered the evaluation board, there should have been a card in the box that pointed to the following URL:
but I've been told by one person that he did not have a card in his box.
From above URL, you would have been able to navigate to the Advantiv™ EVAL-ADV7612-7511 Video Evaluation Board support files FAQ.
This is located at the following URL:
The startrep command is documented in the user guide (EVAL-ADV7612-7511_user_guide_v0p1.pdf). An upcoming version of the software will launch the repeater software automatically after power-up on the EVAL-ADV7612-7511 (since this is what many people are expecting.)
