Does anyone know if ADI has a part that can transmit 4K/60 4:2:0 HDMI video?
All of our 3Ghz HDMI parts can pass through 4k/60 4:2:0... ADV7625, ADV7619, ADV8005, etc.
Thanks for your reply. Does AD have any hdmi transmitter chips that will take in a parallel bus and send 4k/30 4:4:4 RGB video out?
ADV8005 will take in 4k/30 4:2:2 / 4:4:4 in the same 48-bit wide parallel bus that ADV7619 outputs and it has an HDMI transmitter.
If I wanted to use the ADV8005 to output 4K/60 4:2:0 YCbCr, what format would need to be used for the three 8-bit transmit data buses? Assuming the three buses are called bus1, bus2, bus3 and that the first two lines of video have pixels arranged as follows:
Line 1 p1 p2 p3 p4 p5 p6 p7 p8
Line 2 p9 p10 p11 p12 p13 p14 p15 p16
Would the Line1 data being sent be:
BUS1 BUS2 BUS3
Yp1 Cbp1 Crp1
Yp2 Yp3 Cbp3
Crp3 Yp4 Yp5
Cbp5 Crp5 Yp6
Yp7 Cbp7 Crp7
Would the Line2 data being sent be:
Yp9 Yp10 Yp11
Yp12 Yp13 Yp14
Yp15 Yp16 Yp17
As I understand it, one value of CbCr is shared amongst p1, p2, p9 and p10. I am trying to understand how the information gets conveyed to the transmitter using the parallel bus.
