I have built an application using Sigma and the AD1940AZ evaluation board as a working proof of concept for an audio signal conditioning application. I now want to turn this into an embedded self-booting stand alone application with the least amount of peripheral parts, to be included as part of a larger audio conversion system. I need the I2S data I/O ports for interface with other components I will also need real time control of some internal processing values and parameters currently accessible within the sigma environment.
On the surface, it seems like I need the design currently running in the sigma environment, dumped into internal processor program ROM (which boots at start-up, with some values set on test at manu and others connected to external controllers for live adjustment.
Can someone point me to the best processor type and environment to achieve this - I am a novice at embedded processing.
