i have an ADuCRF101 evaluation board and interface board. i am using the printf function as part of my code. when code is executing, nothing appears on my screen.
could you describe what i should be checking for?
printf is a function in the C standard library, it will only go to the UART on an embedded system if you decide to make it so.
This is termed as "re-targetting" the library and it typically involves implementing one or more functions which this function will call to "output" the characters.
Refer to your particular compiler manual for the names of these functions as they differ from compiler to compiler.
You will of course have to configure the UART before calling these functions.
Assuming that you have this already done, check that you are connecting to the correct COM port on your PC and that you are using the correct communication settings.
Ensure that you are using the latest driver for the USB->Serial Port converter on the interface board.
