I'd like to do a audio dsp task. It is dynamic range compression (DRC). Audio input and output are I2S (digital).
Can you advise which IC should be used? And does audio DSP library support DRC or not?

Look into the ADAU1761. This has several fixed function DSP blocks and one of them is a dynamics processor. If you do not need to do any further DSP programming then look at the ADAU1781. This has only the fixed function DSP blocks like the 1761 but without the programmable part of the DSP core. These are fairly simple to use and setup and may be a solution for your application.

How many channels?
Is power important?
What is the level of the input audio? Mic or line?
Do you need any DACs?
Do the DACs need headphone drivers?

The most important to my design is DRC. I want to process DRC for audio data from digital I2S input, then output audio by digital I2S type also.
It need only 1 channel.
The sample rate maybe various from 48Khz to 192 Khz.
No, the power is not important. It doesn't need any DACs.
I'm very new in audio area. I have the task that need to process DRC for digital audio input and then output to digital output also.
So I want to learn if there are any audio IC can do DRC with input and output are I2S.
