You have two types of ADV7611:ADV7611WBSWZ(HDCP key included) & ADV7611BSWZ-P(none HDCP key).
If we used that tpye which has HDCP key,We can use this type of IC to receive blue-gay sources or not?and is this function free or not?
The -P receiver part to receive non-encrypted sources. The non-P (keyed receiver) can receive from all sources regardless of encryption or no encryption
Before Blue rays even attempt to transmit any video they check to see if the receivers has keys. If the receiver has a key then the Blue ray will begin transmitting encrypted video. If the receiver doesn't have keys then the Blue ray just will not transmit. It is all part of the HDCP protocol
Blue-ray players require keyed receivers such as ADV7611WBSWZ (non-P). To purchase the keyed part you need to be an HDCP adopter. Check out Digital Content Protection. The HDCP license is not free.
If I use ADV7611WBSWZ (non-P) to receive non-HDCP key sources,Is there any issue on it?
In other words,ADV7611WBSWZ (non-P) can do anything that ADV7611BSWZ-P does, and ADV7611WBSWZ (non-P) can receive blue-ray sources if we have the license and ADV7611BSWZ-P can't receive blue-ray sources?
