Both HMC1013 and HMC913 data sheet stated 1k min video load. But the HMC913 data sheet also shows a 50 ohm transmission line on the video output (page 8). What is the consequenc of driving a 50 ohm video load? Thanks.
You most likely will not reach the full scale voltage of the output (1.8V). I suspect available output current isn't much more than 2mA.
Just checked it out in the lab, HMC1013 can drive 50 ohm to full scale just fine. Don't have the HMC913 on hand to test.

Did you notice any stability problems driving 50 Ohms?
I can run it for a few hours next week and see. Sure looks good on the scope with a 50 ohm termination, no ringing. It is a SMA connector on the evaluation board, so I am a little surpise the data sheet said min load is 1k. Question is, what bad things can happen if I load it with 50 ohm.
