Can not start software for the ADF4108EB1 with a XP sp 3 system can some one help with this issue?
You need to be an admin to install the software under Windows XP SP3. Can you try this ?
I do have admin rights on the computer. Do you have any other ideas?

Two possible suggests:
1. Try right-clicking on the software and choosing "Run as administrator..."
2. Try using this third-party software to see can you access your parellel port: http://download.cnet.com/Lalim-Parallel-Port-Control-Basic/3000-2085_4-11120681.html?tag=contentMain;overviewHead
I did try this running as admin and the error comes up as
parllio.dII program has a problem.
Did you use the software in option 2 to see can you control you parellel port?
You can set a certain pin to "1", and then check the voltage on that pin to see if you have control.
i.e., Tick the box on D0 (Pin2) and click Set. If you measure the voltage on Pin2 of the parellel port, it will be 5V.
This way we will know if the problem is the software or Windows.
I got the software running on a older machine and it worked fine. Still it would be nice to have it run on the new machine.
We updated the integer-N software to fix some issues with installation on Windows Vista and 7 32-bit machines.
Can you try this to see if this fixes your problem?
Also are you using the parallel port on your pc to control the board or the ADFxxx USB to parallel port adaptor board?
We typically recommend the adaptor board where issues occur with claiming the parallel port (not having admin
access rights for example). Please give details of the exact error message if any that pops up.
The OP'er and I spoke over the phone yesterday.
I had him uninstall and reinstall the latest software from our wesite, which is described as v5.1 there and on the zip file name. However, after installing, if you look under the Help menu, it says that it is v5.0. Was this just a housekeeping issue?
He is running Win XP SP3 so I don't see why he should be having a problem. Are there any minimum machine specs that he needs?
On my machine with Win 7, the software will start okay if I select USB communication, but if I select parallel port it gives me a "Run-time error '48': File not found: parllio". I've seen this with other softwares of ours, and if I recall it is some sort of driver issue. Does he maybe have a driver issue too? Is there an updated driver anywhere?
