I know that the device is supposed to be AC coupled, but the datasheet for HMC426 shows 50 ohm resistors to Vcc on the differential inputs. Will the device continue to operate if a differential pair (used as a level shifter), bias with a tail current of 2mA, alternately swings each input between Vcc and Vcc - 100mV?
With a 2mA tail current the device will see a 200mV differential input signal centered about a common mode voltage of Vcc -50mV. Is there sufficient 'headroom" in the input circuitry that the 50mV deviation from the recommended AC couple input will not unduly degraded performance?
