Due to near-integer-boundary spurs in my band of operation, I would like to use a different reference frequency than 40MHz in my design.
Analog devices says the following about the reference crystal:
"The Epson crystal used on this board, has the generic part number “TSX-3225 40.0000MHZ” - however, the generic part number does not have the specifications needed to meet the AD9361 datasheet specs. ADI has worked with Epson to provide a tighter tolerance part, which can be ordered as the “OUTD-2B-0166” or “X1E000021036701”
What aspect of the generic crystal was insufficient? Tempco? ESR? Q? Something else?
I've looked for a specific datasheet for the OUTD-2B-0166 and X1E000021036701 crystals, but couldn't find anything. I also couldn't find anything in their part numbering scheme that would indicate the specs of those two part numbers.
Any help in specifying a different frequency xtal would be appreciated.
