What is anti beat frequency in dc-dc buck converter??? can anyone provide details of this?
You could have beat frequencies when you have multiple switching regulators enabled at the same time with theirswitching frequencies not synchronized to an internal master oscillator or to an external clock. Also, when there is some switching in the output(could be caused by a load transient), and the load frequency is near the switching frequency of the regulator. The difference in the frequencies would give you the beat frequency and this could show up in the output voltage waveform.
“Anti-beat frequency” is a method to minimize or remove these beat frequencies. And possible ways to achieve this, is to 1) synchronize the regulators’ switching, and better to have the different frequencies phase shifted and 2) choose a regulator with a switching frequency that is outside of the critical band used by the application.
With this, may I know what beat frequencies are you specifically concerned about?
