Can anyone guide me in loading an LDR file into an external flash memory attached to BF706. I am new to CCES1.1.
It was a bit user friendly in VDSP5.0.
Thanks & Regards,
In CCES, the Command Line Device Programmer (CLDP) is used to flash LDR files to memory attached to ADI's DSP processors. You will need the Board Support Package (BSP) for the ADSP-BF706 Mini Board installed since it contains the driver required to flash LDR file to the SPI Flash attached on the ADSP-BF706 Mini Board.
The Help Contents section of CCES contains the information on the CLDP, located in the chapter CrossCore Embedded Studio 1.1.0 -> Integrated Development Environment -> Working with Bootable and Non-bootable Files -> Device Programmer
CLDP is run via the Windows Command Prompt, and here is an example command set to flash an LDR file to the ADSP-BF706 Mini Board that you would type into the Commnand Prompt:
Navigate to the CCES installation directory, the default is C:\Analog Devices\CrossCore Embedded Studio 1.1.0
Then type in:
cldp -proc ADSP-BF706 -emu KIT -driver "C:\Analog Devices\ADSP-BF706_EZ-KIT_Mini-Rel1.1.0\BF706_EZ-Kit_MINI\Blackfin\Examples\Device_programmer\bf706_w25q32bv_dpia.dxe" -cmd prog -erase affected -file "C:\Users\name\CrossCore Embedded Studio\CCES Example\Debug\CCES Example.ldr"
Where "name" is your account name, or where ever your project is located.
