fmcadc2 iio scope

Hi everyone,

I want to test the behaviour of a development board I have to test with the ad9625 ADC converter, to reach that goal I am using the reference design for the fmcadc2 board. I want to use the iio-oscilloscope in the test but I am not able to make the conection with the oscilloscope. I have communication through SPI and I can configure it properly.

The main problem starts when I dowload the linux image on the FPGA and try to stablish a connection with the iio-oscilloscope, in the linux system there is no iio:device to connect.

The main reason of this post is to know if the board should provide any kind of information to the linux platform to create the iio:device. I see there is a i2c eeprom with the description of the hardware in the fmcadc2 board. Is this eeprom needed to provide the OS the information about the board in the FMC connector? If the answer is 'yes'. Can I bypass this "auto-negociation" and create the iio:device with other procedure?

Thanks in advance.
