I'm trying to communicate with ADV7401 chips in a design and I can't seem to get any acknowledgement from them. I'm trying to use RealTerm and I can read from my other I2C devices no problem... My design has two 7401s, one configured for 0x42 and the other for 0x40 via pull up/down resistors on the ALSB pin.
Does this chip require a special format for communicating? I can't find anything helpful in the manual.
I noticed the ADV7181 needs a repeat start (https://ez.analog.com/message/68330#68330). Is this standard for ADI devices?
Can someone recommend a better I2C utility?
Does ADI sell a programmer for their devices?
Thanks in advance.
