ADV7513 unconnected INT

I am almost finished with a design that uses an ADV7513 that is controlled by an FPGA. I am low on FPGA pins, so I currently have the INT (interrupt output) not connected to the FPGA. Is this possible? To me it seems I can just poll the I2C interrupt registers instead, to see if an interrupt has occured. Furthermore, I do not think I will use the interrupt features a lot. I am already happy if my first implementation will only work with leaving the HDMI cable plugged in.

If I can indeed leave the INT pin unconnected, can I then connect it then to GND directly? Or should I just leave it floating?
