I am using AD723 from analog device in one of my design.
The above mentioned part is a analog RGB to NTSC/PAL converter.
Could anyone please let me know the acceptable input RGB resolution range for the part?
640 x 480
800 x 600
It's a raw converter-- the input has to be in the same video format, interlaced PAL or NTSC with appropriate timing as the expected output.
In my design the input to AD723 is a 800 x 600 resolution RGB type, could you please tell me how will I be able to generate a PAL video output for such an input signal. Also please let me know how to apply a PAL resolution over RGB input signal? Also what will be the Hysnc, Vsync & Clk frequency to get the desired PAL output?
You cannot generate PAL from 800x600 with ADV723, it's not a scaler chip. You would need to use a scaler like ADV8005 to do that.
HSYNC, VSYNC, Clk for PAL are defined in the SMPTE standards for PAL as is the FIELD signal and the pixels per line, etc.
From your above reply do you mean to say that the input can be only be NTSC/PAL?
Does it supports 480I and 576I also?
