Can HMC698LP5 use differential LVPECL for REF?

The typical application circuit and evaluation circuit only show NREF bypassed to ground with a single-ended signal being ac-coupled into REF.  Will the HMC698LP5 work with a differential input into both REF and NREF?  If so, can the differential input be LVPECL or HCMOS?

I suspect that a differential square wave input is fine, but the logic levels I want to use may not be.  The only datasheet spec for the REF input is an amplitude of +/-5dBm min & max at 100MHz.  According to http://designtools.analog.com/dt/dbconvert/dbconvert.html a +/-5dBm square wave is about 0.25Vp-p to 0.8Vp-p.  Am I right about this?
