I wonder if anyone can give me some advice about implementing a DMA transfer with ADSP21469.
This is what I need:
- DMA should be requested by an external device with a hardware signal
- one single data is transferred for each DMA request pulse; for example, if DMA count is 100, the DMA transfer would complete after 100 pulses has arrived, whatever time it takes; pulse repetition rate is >3us, but sometimes it can be up to 10ms.
- data is transferred from DSP internal memory buffer to a fixed external memory address or possibly to a serial port; I can use either.
Older Sharc processor had a DMAR signal which I think could be used for this purpose. I read the 2146x hw ref manual but I can't find an equivalent function. Is this correct?
Is there an alternate way to implement this?
