I cannot find anywhere in the no-os software where these two signals are actually asserted. The reference manual is also confusing me on how they should be asserted for FDD, level mode, spi ensm control, cmos mode configuration.
The no-OS is using SPI control, to switch between ENSM states. So the software does not using this two pins. In general this control method (SPI control) is used when a real time control of the synthesizers is not necessary. (See page 26 at UG-570). So in your configuration you don't need to use these pins.
This two pins are getting vital for example, when you want to use the device in TDD mode, because the device need to switch between TX and RX at a precise period of time.
By the way, how's your project going? Did you manged to fix the digital tuning issue?
I feel like I am very close, but the tuning process is still not succeeding for the tx side. I am working with a couple others on getting the tuning going.
